What is beyond you: Crossing between two melted worlds (2023)

It's a project that is inspired by explorations in the landscape. The project discusses natural history field studies, seeking specific knowledge of the life cycle of rare species of butterflies. Its two journies happened between St.Catherine mountain in Egypt and the Swiss Alps.

I’m seeking to document and compare these insects' behaviors and life cycles.

It’s a way for me to look for access to the diverse worlds mediated through the insects and their bodies, this being in a landscape and a sense of belonging to a cosmos.

I’m curious about surviving and adapting in catastrophe situations, and this exists a lot in fauna worlds, so I like to morph into non-human rare bodies (like butterflies) to explore terms like surviving, adaptation, and extinction. I trace the rare butterflies in different lands to study them.

This project chapter is an installation of film, drawings, and sculpture, it was displayed as part of the open studio at La Becque Residency in Switzerland.
